To Clarify...

The reason I worked 8-5AM at Magic Kingdom is because there were extra magic hours until 3AM therefore in Strollers we have to work later to collect them and stack them, and to collect and put away wheelchairs and scooters.  The park if often opened later during the summer and come Fall there won't be as many 5 am closing shifts.

This week work has sucked!!! I work 5AM-1:30PM everyday this week.  Not to exciting.

SORRY!!!

I AM A TERRIBLE BLOGGER AND VLOGGER!!!  We have been here now for 23 days and I have yet to post either a blog or a vlog.  I will be on it though and I will post something!!!  I will try to do one each week... though I am not making any promises to my followers that I will guarantee there will be one each week.  So if I forget or get to busy... well then tough tomatoes. I'll update you all the next week.

So far this has been a great experience...  I am happy with my roommates even though it didn't happen the way we wanted it to go, nonetheless it has been great.  I am so glad that I have a large group of friends to hang out with, we are kind of like a big family, helping each other out and hanging out, hell, we even have dinners occasionally.  I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of people to live with and near, we hang out and go to the parks often... when not working.

I have yet to actually experience each park.  The park that I have is my home park (I work there) which is the Magic Kingdom.  I have gone to the other 3 parks, but I haven't done much while there.  I have gone on Star Tours, Toy Story, The Great Movie Ride, Tower of Terror, and Rockin Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios but there is so much more to that park than just those 5 rides.  I have been to Epcot but the only ride I have gone on there has been Space Ship Earth and I have done that one twice now.  Animal Kingdom is by far the park I have done the least at.  All I did was go see a friend that was working that day.  Other than that it was too hot that day to stay at the park and it was too busy to try to go ride anything.  I really want to go on Expedition Everest!!!

Today I work 8:15 to 4:45 did I mention that that was 8 PM to 5 AM!!!!  It will be fun.  But for now I need to go to Walmart to get some stuff...  I need milk and cheese and pizzas and chicken and I really think I need to make a list!!!

such a short amount of time…

there are literally so few days left until I leave. i leave tuesday and it is seriously crazy. i can’t wait until i get there and get all checked in and go to traditions and begin to work at the most magical place on earth!  it is crazy!!!

jess is leaving today and others are already down in the area having stayed with friends or family for a while.  it will be fun to adjust to the time difference.  i am a night person but not going to sleep until 2 am is 5 am in florida so we shall see how this will work!!

my big suitcase is 90 lbs. my other checked bag is about 40 lbs. so i will have little room for error in the weighing of my bags!

I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!!!! the program starts in just a few days!!!

TWO MONTHS

Two months from today is the beginning of my Grand Disney Adventure.  Yesterday was two months until I leave for Florida.  So both days are important.  But in just two months I will be in Florida and beginning my grand adventure of working, living and learning at the happiest place on earth, at the place where dreams come true.

I simply cannot wait.  Even though there is a lot going on here at home I am still extremely excited and simply cannot wait!!

Countdown!

I love opening my blog!  I do it just to see my countdown number go down daily!!! It is amazing!!  I can not wait and seeing my countdown go down, reminds me that it is getting closer and closer! 

I know this is a short blog but I love my countdown it is AMAZING knowing that my numbers are reducing everyday!!!!

Getting things squared away!!

I am trying to get things as squared away as possible. Talking with my advisor, the guy in charge of internships in my college, talking to the WMST department about doing an independent study, talking to the Spanish department about seeing if I can do an independent study or SOMETHING for credit, as well as trying to make sure my fin aid is all taken care of in terms of making sure I can get it in August.  I know I would have been there for 3 months already but that large chunk of change will be very helpful in making it possible for me to LIVE while in Florida.

I have an appointment with my advisor on Monday, I spoke with the internship guy already (that is taken care of, I just need to get him a copy of my acceptance letter. I can do that Monday).  I also need to talk to USAC!  To see if I can go to Spain in January!!!  I am trying to do everything I have been putting off for lack of financial aid due to my EFC. I am now independent and don’t depend on anything from my family in terms of money for school according to fin aid.

I also need to figure out how many suitcases I need!  So I need to partially pack one to see how many more I will need. It is going to be exhausting.
