Countdown!

I love opening my blog!  I do it just to see my countdown number go down daily!!! It is amazing!!  I can not wait and seeing my countdown go down, reminds me that it is getting closer and closer! 

I know this is a short blog but I love my countdown it is AMAZING knowing that my numbers are reducing everyday!!!!

Getting things squared away!!

I am trying to get things as squared away as possible. Talking with my advisor, the guy in charge of internships in my college, talking to the WMST department about doing an independent study, talking to the Spanish department about seeing if I can do an independent study or SOMETHING for credit, as well as trying to make sure my fin aid is all taken care of in terms of making sure I can get it in August.  I know I would have been there for 3 months already but that large chunk of change will be very helpful in making it possible for me to LIVE while in Florida.

I have an appointment with my advisor on Monday, I spoke with the internship guy already (that is taken care of, I just need to get him a copy of my acceptance letter. I can do that Monday).  I also need to talk to USAC!  To see if I can go to Spain in January!!!  I am trying to do everything I have been putting off for lack of financial aid due to my EFC. I am now independent and don’t depend on anything from my family in terms of money for school according to fin aid.

I also need to figure out how many suitcases I need!  So I need to partially pack one to see how many more I will need. It is going to be exhausting.

The FOLDER!!!!

I got the magic folder! It is fabulous!!!  My sister was so mean about it. She called me, I was asleep, and asked me to come to the front door. When I got there she said, “I am sorry but my boots are wet” (it was snowing) “can you find my wallet?” I turned around looked at her chair, where she normally sits, and went to go back down the hall to my room, when she said “Just kidding I have your mail.”  And in the stack of mail she handed me was a large white envelope from Disney!!  I ripped open the envelope and was so happy when I saw the beautiful purple color inside!!!  It’s so pretty!!

 

Now I really do need to take out my lip piercing. It is sad. I really like it. Although it is alright I can get it again if I want to at some point in my life. I am going to retake my photo when I am dressed different and my hair looks better.

The THREE month mark. ◦o◦

Today marks three months until I leave for Florida! I am so excited! 89 more days before I get out of RENO! I really can’t wait!! 

I feel like I write and say the word excited a lot! I saw it enough that my Aunt wants to start a drinking game, every time I say or write excited they take a shot. If that is the game they will be drunk way too quickly!

I am so ready to be there! I want to go yesterday. I have so many things that I need to do before I leave. I have made a packing/shopping list, now I need to make an in depth to do list!!!  At some point I will post it when I am done with it.

I finally got an interview for a job I applied for MONTHS AGO!!!! Hopefully I get it I need money.  Especially with going to Florida soon. I need money for plane fare and spending money, as well as money to buy stuff that I need for Florida! 

90 DAYS!!!

90 days…. holy cow!!! I know 90 days is 3 months but I am going to go by date. So as of Feb. 17 it will be 3 months until I leave for Florida!  I AM SO EXCITED!!! 

I can’t wait until the day I officially get there and move in and start working.  I am gah… EXCITED!!!!!

I can’t wait to expand my collection of pins!!  I currently have a bunch of Mickey Mouse pins.  Some are old school, others are newer and I even have some from Euro Disney. 

The day I told my mom that I got accepted to the Disney College Program, my sister was trading pins and saw a really cute Mickey Mouse one.  So she traded for it.  The cast member who traded it with her told my sister and mom that it was a Cast Exclusive that someone just traded with her.

Also while they were at Disneyland, after I told them I was accepted into the program my mom and sister went to Fantasy Faire and saw Cinderella and Prince Charming.  My mom and sister told them that I got accepted to the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World.  Cinderella and Prince Charming got excited and said that I was going to see their castle!  It was cute.

And so it begins…

Yesterday morning I paid the fees to hold my place for my program, 5/13/2011-1/3/2012.  I am so excited that I am running out of words to express how I feel.  There is one word that I know works to get my point across:

“It’s SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!

Even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious. 

If you say it loud enough you’ll always sound precocious.

SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!!!”

I just can’t believe that I am going to work at Disney World through the Disney College Program!!  Every few minutes I look at my mom and say “Guess what? Guess what?? Guess What????… I AM GOING TO FLORIDA!!”  She laughs and then earlier she sent me a text while sitting next to me at a women’s basketball game that says “Guess what? You are going to Florida!!” Which was followed by a text with a :) in it.  Then a little later one that had only one word “Disneyworld!!!!! :)”  My mom is really funny!!  I am just so… ah!! I can’t even describe it!!!

So this is my list as of right now.  It seems really daunting and a little blurry. The underlined words are not underlined to focus on them they are underlined because the line acts as a divider, electronic to bedroom to bathroom to kitchen, to clothing etc… I think it works it is just odd. I took the lists that others have posted and added things that I think would be good to have. There are a number of things on here that I will be going without until I can get to the store to purchase them after I arrive. So just know that this list is NOT solely a packing list. It is a list of things I need, want and it could include things I that I might not need to get if my roommates already have them. I am later going to further divide this list into what I am putting in my carry-on vs. my checked baggage.

 

I know it is 93 days away, but it is better to be early and over prepared than it is to procrastinate (which I am a master of)!!!!

Paper Chain

Here is my paper chain in progress!!!  I will finish is later, but for now I think I am done for the time being!!!  It is fun but the glue is getting all over!!  I love it!!!  I made 98 pieces even though it is now only 96 days.  I am so excited.  I still need to accept the invitation but I have to wait to do that until this weekend.  I am kind of ahead of myself with making this chain I am just too excited to do anything that doesn’t have to do with Disney!!!!  I watched all three Toy Story movies tonight…. So that tells ya something.

I CAN’T WAIT!!!!  For those that follow my blog that have not yet been accepted I wish you the BEST OF LUCK!!!! All it takes is Faith and Trust, and a little bit of Pixie Dust!!!

New Vlog!!!

Here is my new Vlog… Pre-Disney College Program, I will try to do them more often when I am down in Florida!!!  I need a camera so I don’t have to use my webcam… cause it really isn’t a good camera.  Anyways I hope you enjoy.

AMAZING!!!!

I am SO EXCITED!!!!  I got accepted, I just have to wait till this weekend to accept the invitation!  I AM SO HAPPY!!!!

I cannot wait I am so ready… I am hoping to get the first date available which is May 18th if that is the case I would be leaving in 97 days!!!  I will post a new counter nametag as soon as I know what day I will be going!!!

 

I am thrilled!!!  My mom and sister will come visit me later.  I am hoping to get other people to come see me while I am there!!!  I know I am using a ton of exclamation points but it is because I am SOOO EXCITED!!! and there really isn’t a way to express it without making a video.  I don’t know when I am going to make a new video but I will at some point!!!!

Day #16 of waiting

TODAY WAS THE DAY!!!! I GOT ACCEPTED!!! I am going to Florida in MAY!!!! I AM SO EXCITED. I WILL POST SOMETHING ELSE LATER BUT this is it for now!!!

Day #14 of waiting

Today marks two weeks.  I hope I hear soon.  I really want to know what is going on.  I want to know if I am gonna be in and able to go to Florida in the Fall!!!  I really need this.

Day #13 of waiting

Today is the thirteenth day since my interview.  It also happens to be Super Bowl Sunday, I was going to have a party today but all of my friends decided it would be cool to change the plans.  They decided to have their own Super Bowl party and claim it was just that they had to do things at home and didn’t want to drive to my house.  Yeah well at least you have a job and can afford gas to get here I can’t afford the gas there and back.  I am sorry that you don’t understand the idea of being broke.  So instead of hanging out with friends watching the game I am watching Degrassi by myself in an empty house!

I really want to know what is going on with my Disney status.  I really want this.  I really need something different in my life a change of pace and atmosphere.

Day #12 of waiting

Doce…  day number 12!!  I really want to find out soon.  I hope it is in the next few days.  I really don’t know how much more waiting I can take.  And the fact that my mother and sister are at Disneyland right now makes it a little worse.  But I am ok with the fact that they are there, because if I get into the Disney College Program I will be able to go to Disney World EVERY DAY I WANT TO!!! And they can’t muanahahhahaa!!!

Day #11 of waiting

Today counts 11 days, that is 2 days longer than I waited for a first notification last time.  People keep getting accepted left and right.  I really really hope I hear back soon.  I really want/need this. 

I got an email at 11:30 from Disney College Recruiting…  but it was to let me know that they are recruiting for fall 2011.  I know that already, incase you forgot, I have already applied.  Now I am just playing the waiting game like everyone else!!!  Except for those who have been accepted already.  I hope I am soon!!!!!

Day #10 of waiting

Today is day 10!  I would really love to find out soon!!  This blog is going to be short today.  I don’t have much motivation to do much of anything.  I am probably going to go out dancing tonight I just don’t know for sure.

Day #9 of waiting

So last time I applied on day nine I got a letter saying that I was pending.  I really hope that isn’t the case!!  I really want to know soon!! 
Though I really want to know, finding out today would probably not be a good thing.  My Great/Great Great Aunt passed away last night and I feel like telling all of my family if I were to get in, just feels like it would just not be right.  So although I have been wishing the the recruiters would let me know today for the last nine days… I kind of hope that they will wait until at least tomorrow!!

Day #8 of waiting

Today is the 8th day since my interview.  More people found out today if they were accepted into the program.  It is a nerve-wracking and I wish we could just find out now.  I know we cannot all know at once and they may not have all of the info collected to make good decisions about the rest of us.  I would just like to know what is going on and if I am going to be in or not.  I really need a break and I hope I can be a part of this and have fun and work in Florida.  I have only been there twice and I would love to be able to go and work there!!  Please let us know soon!!
